LOS Surabaya in collaboration with Design It Yourself 3 “Prototips”, and Ayorek, invites you to tell us your favourite, memorable place in Surabaya in postcards.

Here you can fill your postcard with your favourite cangkruk or hangout place, your childhood playing ground. You can give its photo, map, or illustration, etc. That place can still or no longer exist today, as long as it is (or was) in Surabaya. Tell us where it is located, and why it means a lot to you!

Submissions will be exhibited on:

•  13 October 2013, in Surabaya Town Square, during Design It Yourself: Prototips
• 14 - 27 October 2013, in C2O library & collabtive
• 27 October, artist' talk in C2O during DIY closing.

How to submit

1. Artists, writers, students, friends, kids, husbands, wifes, jobless, from all professions and backgrounds across the world can participate in this exhibition, using their own choice of media.
2. Location depicted must be within Surabaya area
3. Postcard size A6 (105mmx148mm).
4. You can use various media: photos, mixed media, illustration, comic, etc.
5. From September 2013, blank postcards and craft kits are available in C2O if you're interested to make your postcard on the spot. Feel free to bring your own materials and tools!

Copyright and return of postcards

1. All submissions can be scanned and digitalised to further disseminated in ayorek.org/playground/playground/playground/playground/playground using Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 3.0.
2. In other words, copyright remains within the contributor. By virtue of their appearance in Ayorek, submitted works are free to use, under the following conditions: (1) with proper attribution, (2) in educational and other non-commercial settings, and (3) must be shared alike  (Read the legal information here.)
3. All submissions will be available for return from C2O library on November 4-30, 2013. We apologize that after that date, we are no longer responsible for the works.
