La Strada tells the story of a handyman Zampano traveling circus that employs Gelsomina, an innocent girl who faced a strange, however talented, to join together in his circus. They both traveled from one city to another to make money from every show that they are title on the streets. Zampano figure rigid and arrogant and naive and innocent Gelsomina often lead to a feud between the two. In a way, the director will lead us to talk about the problems of poverty, religion, social, and cultural traditions of Italy in peacetime after World War II
