This city in which we live has changed and evolved, from the time of the Independence struggle—or even from the Ujung Galuh?—to now. This exhibition invites you to create an ode about the city of Surabaya; tracing its histories, and reinterpret them in the forms of illustrations, photographs, clippings or writings on postcards.

How to participate:
- Drop by the BI Library at Jl. Taman Mayangkara 6 (previously Mpu Tantular Museum)
- Browse and peruse the wealth of references available! Do check out the fantastic rare collection exhibition from Medayu Agung library!
- There will be 20 preliminary works to indicate various milestone periods—in relation to economy, culture, history, culinary, etc.—which anyone can then respond to.
- Throughout the exhibition (12 April - 4 May 2014), blank postcards and craft box will be available in the BI Library for you to create your postcard on the spot!

LOS Established somewhat spontaneously in 2012, LOS members are individuals who have the same interests and ideas in visual arts, especially illustration. Initially merely a bunch of drawers, LOS has developed into a collective, which is focused heavily on the experimental process, particularly in relation to art and culture. LOS has not only created artworks, but also initiated exploratoray and collaborative projects with other individuals and communities. Launched from Surabaya, LOS has crossed boundaries in capabilities, background and interests in bringing their aspirations into their visual works.
