La Terra Trema is a film adaptation of the novel by Giovanni Verga; I Malovlagia. The film consists of three strands Valastros tells the story of a family, one of a family of fishermen in Aci Trezza, a small village on the east coast of Sicily, Italy. In each plot, the film is talking about business survival in the Sicilian fishing families to escape the clutches of the owners of capital (middlemen). But when nature gives ordeal for them, in the end they had to go back to face the social order that does not stand for them and other fishermen.
